Dictations Module Terms

Product: Kluppy Connect — School Plan Version: 1.1 · October 2026 Accepted electronically by the School's management when activating the module from the admin panel store (acceptance checkbox, with version, date and user recorded), and reaffirmed by each staff member when publishing a dictation (per-dictation declaration). They complement the B2B Terms of Contract, which prevail in anything not regulated here.

1. What the module is and what it is not

1.1. Dictations lets School staff write texts to be written from dictation, which Kluppy turns into segmented audio with a synthetic voice, assign them to students as a task (in class, with the audio on the teacher's screen, or individually with headphones) and obtain an automatic word-by-word correction of what each student writes.

1.2. The module is a practice and correction-support tool. Its correction and, if the School enables it, its grade out of ten are a deterministic calculation over what the student wrote; they are not an official assessment and cannot be the sole or main basis of a grade, which always rests with the teacher's judgement. Dictations are not part of the Competency Assessment Module.

1.3. Texts are written by people; Kluppy does not generate them with artificial intelligence. The voice is synthetic (generated by a third-party artificial intelligence system from the School's text), and this is shown to students and staff in the player. The voice does not imitate any real person.

1.4. Before generating the audio, Kluppy automatically applies to the text (a) a technical clean-up so that it can be typed on the School's keyboard, (b) a filter of disallowed expressions and (c) a safety filter that may leave a dictation under review by the management, never reject it on its own.

2. Responsibility for content

2.1. The School is solely responsible for the dictations its staff publish: for their content, their suitability to the age and context of its students and for not infringing third-party rights. Kluppy acts as a hosting provider of those texts and the derived audio (art. 16 of Spanish Law 34/2002 and art. 6 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).

2.2. Each dictation is shown to students with an indication that it comes from their School.

2.3. The automatic filters in section 1.4 are an aid, not a guarantee nor an editorial review by Kluppy. Their result does not transfer to Kluppy any responsibility for the content.

3. Personal data

3.1. It is forbidden to include personal data of students, families, staff or third parties in dictations. The text of a dictation is content, not a data processing operation, and must remain so.

3.2. When publishing, the author declares that the text contains no personal data and that the School has the right to use it. That declaration is recorded with the dictation.

3.3. Under the current Data Processing Agreement, Kluppy keeps (a) the identity of the staff member who published each dictation and (b) what each student writes when doing it (the typed text, its correction, replays used and the segments in which support text was shown), solely to show the correction to the student and the teacher. This data is deleted with the student's account under the Data Processing Agreement; retiring a dictation does not delete it.

3.4. Voice provider. To generate the audio, Kluppy sends the dictation text to an external voice synthesis provider: ElevenLabs, whose servers are in the United States, or Elhuyar Fundazioa (Spain) where the dictation is in Basque. Only the text and the voice settings are sent, from Kluppy's servers: no identifier or data of the person who writes it or listens to it. As the text may not contain personal data (section 3.1), sending it is not an international transfer of personal data. The panel says so next to the text field.

4. Licence of use

4.1. The School warrants that it holds the necessary rights over the texts it publishes and grants Kluppy a non-exclusive, free and limited licence to store them, clean them technically, convert them into audio and show them to the School's own students while the module is active and the dictation published.

4.2. Dictations belong only to the School: Kluppy does not show them to users of other schools nor adds them to any general bank. Generated audio may be kept in Kluppy's technical cache to avoid regenerating it if the same text is published again.

5. Removal and filters

5.1. The author of a dictation and the School's management may retire it at any time from the panel; it stops being available immediately and active tasks using it are closed.

5.2. Kluppy may retire a dictation when it becomes aware that it infringes these terms or the law, and will inform the School. Kluppy may limit the number of dictations the platform generates per day; current limits are shown in the panel.

6. Price, credits and packs

6.1. Activating the module is free and reserved for schools with a school plan and current student licences. On activation, the School receives five trial dictations per licence period (school year), replenished when the School renews its licences and not carried over from one period to the next.

6.2. From then on, the School buys dictation packs from the panel store, at the price in force at the time of purchase, VAT not included, as a one-off payment. Pack dictations do not expire while the School keeps its plan, are shared by all School staff and are not refundable. If the School's licences expire, unused dictations are held and become available again on renewal.

6.3. Each published dictation uses one dictation from the balance, regardless of how many students it is assigned to or how many times it is done. Publishing again with a changed text uses another; changing only the title or options does not. If audio generation fails completely, the dictation is not charged. A text identical to one already published by the School does not consume.

6.4. Without balance, staff cannot publish new dictations; assigning, doing and marking those already published keeps working. The management can deactivate and reactivate the module from the store; deactivating gives no right to a refund and does not replenish credits.

6.5. Kluppy may change these terms and pack prices for new purchases; each purchase is governed by the version accepted at that time, as recorded in the panel.
